 - "Founded in 1900, the College Board is a not-for-profit educational association that supports academic preparation and transition to higher education for students around the world through the ongoing collaboration of its member schools, colleges, universities, educational systems, and organizations."--site.
 - Offers an efficient and, yes, even cool way to access and browse U.S. and Canadian higher education institutions. Their database is searchable by criteria, including geography (state or province), price, and enrollment. Financial aid and graduate program directories, and also links to standardized test discussion groups.  A great tool for getting into school!
eLearn magazine is published by ACM, a not-for-profit educational association serving those who work, teach, and learn in the various computing-related fields. Founded in 1947 as the Association for Computing Machinery, ACM's stated mission is to advance the arts, sciences, and applications of information technology. It is the oldest and most respected organization of its kind. eLearn is ACM's first Web-only publication. It will build on ACM's reputation by serving as the most accurate and unbiased source for news, information, and opinion on the now-flourishing field of online education and training. - Financial aid search and information.  Includes a free scholarship search engine.
- A good resource for finding money for your college education.  Provides a free FinAid Newsletter for timely tips and advice.
- Mission: Critical is an interactive tutorial for critical thinking, in which you will be introduced to basic concepts through sets of instructions and exercises.
